Paludaria

A paludarium is an environment that includes both aquatic and terrestrial components, putting approximately equal emphasis on each.  These include marshes, bogs (tropical to alpine), riparian (river & shoreline) environments, shallow streams (through forests, meadows, etc.), seacoast (tide pool) environments (with or without tidal changes), estuarial (mangrove swamp, mudflat or rush) environments, insular (islands – tropical marine or freshwater lake) environments, etc.

Examples shown here include a tropical frog bog, a salamander vernal pool and an axolotl pool.
